Terms of Use

These Terms of Use regulate the use of all services provided by Goor & Kröger GbR, hereinafter also referred to as “Krögoor Entertainment”. This includes in particular: Alexa skills, websites, chat services, mobile applications, APIs and other digital offerings. By activating and using these services, the user agrees to these conditions. The use of the services of Krögoor Entertainment is not possible without agreeing to these conditions.

By using the services, the user also confirms that he/she is acting on his/her own behalf and is of legal age or has full legal capacity in his/her country.

Area of Application

These Terms of Use apply to all digital services and offerings provided by Krögoor Entertainment. These include:

  • Alexa skills in the Amazon Alexa Skill Store
  • Websites (including knight-manager.com, kroegoor.com, quiz-des-tages.com and all associated subdomains)
  • Chat and communication services (including chat.knight-manager.com)
  • Mobile applications and desktop applications
  • APIs and connected third-party services

Where individual services are offered on third-party platforms (e.g. Amazon Alexa, Discord), the respective terms of use of the platform provider additionally apply.

Provider

The provider is Goor & Kröger GbR, c/o IP-Management #4666, Ludwig-Erhard-Str. 18, 20459 Hamburg (Germany), hereinafter referred to as “Krögoor Entertainment”.

Access and Availability

The Alexa skills can be used with Amazon Alexa-enabled devices. An Amazon account linked to the device and the use of the Amazon Alexa app are required. Activation is possible via the “Activate” button in the Alexa App or by voice command.

Websites and chat services are accessible via supported web browsers or the provided applications. Krögoor Entertainment determines the supported platforms and may discontinue support for individual platforms or browser versions at any time.

Changes to Services and Game Content

Krögoor Entertainment is entitled to modify, adjust or discontinue all services, games and their content at any time and without prior notice at its sole discretion. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Game mechanics, game rules and gameplay
  • Balance adjustments (e.g. strength of units, equipment, abilities, rewards)
  • Level requirements, experience points and progression systems
  • Virtual items, currencies and their properties
  • Availability and functionality of individual features
  • Adding, removing or changing game content, events and seasons
  • Technical requirements and supported platforms
  • User interfaces, presentation and design

The user has no claim to the continuation of any particular game state, game mechanic or feature set. Krögoor Entertainment shall not be obligated to provide any compensation or refund due to such changes, to the extent permitted by law.

Duration and Termination

These conditions apply for the entire duration of the user’s use of the services of Krögoor Entertainment. The user may terminate use at any time by deleting their account or deactivating the respective skill.

Krögoor Entertainment may suspend or delete user accounts at any time and without prior notice for good cause (in particular for violation of these Terms of Use). Furthermore, Krögoor Entertainment is entitled to terminate user accounts without giving reasons with a notice period of 14 days. In no case shall there be any claim for compensation for lost game progress, virtual items or other content.

Krögoor Entertainment reserves the right to temporarily or permanently discontinue individual services or skills at any time and without prior notice.

Costs

The use of the offered services is generally free of charge. However, depending on the provider and tariff, connection costs for data transmission may be incurred. Furthermore, in some skills it is possible to purchase additional services as an “in-skill purchase” (ISP). These in-skill purchases are processed, invoiced and managed directly via the platform provider Amazon. Any queries regarding invoicing should be addressed directly to the platform provider.

In addition to the possibility of purchasing “consumables” (e.g. in-game currency), there is also the possibility of making one-time purchases or subscriptions. Subscriptions are usually billed monthly and can be cancelled in the customer area at Amazon. The costs are always communicated transparently before the purchase.

Krögoor Entertainment has the right to change, regulate or completely remove the virtual items as well as all game content at any time and without prior notice. In this case, the company is not obliged to compensate or refund the purchase to the user or third parties. Compensation is also excluded in the event of closure of an account or discontinuation of a service.

The virtual items that are purchased through in-skill purchases or provided as a “gift” are the property of Krögoor Entertainment and are made available to the user under a limited license solely for use within the respective service. In case of abusive use, Krögoor Entertainment reserves the right to block the functions or entire accounts, temporarily or permanently. The sale of digital items for real money or other benefits outside of the service is not permitted and may result in permanent exclusion.

User-Generated Content

By posting content (text messages, images, voice messages, profile pictures, player names and other inputs) in the services of Krögoor Entertainment, the user grants Krögoor Entertainment a free, unlimited in time and space, non-exclusive right of use to this content. Krögoor Entertainment is entitled to store, display, process, moderate, delete or otherwise use user-generated content within the scope of the services.

The user guarantees that he/she has the necessary rights to the posted content and does not infringe the rights of third parties. Krögoor Entertainment assumes no responsibility for user-generated content.

AI-Powered Processing

Krögoor Entertainment uses artificial intelligence (AI) to improve and moderate the services. This includes in particular:

  • Automatic moderation of text messages and images
  • Automatic correction of messages (spelling, grammar)
  • Generation of image descriptions for accessibility
  • Checking player names for appropriateness
  • Translation of content

For this purpose, content may be transmitted to third-party AI services (e.g. OpenAI). Details are set out in the Privacy Policy.

Chat and Communication Services

The following additional rules apply to the use of chat and communication services:

  • The user is solely responsible for all content sent (text, images, voice messages).
  • It is prohibited to distribute illegal, offensive, discriminatory, pornographic or violence-glorifying content.
  • Krögoor Entertainment may restrict or revoke the ability to send messages, images or voice messages in individual channels or for individual users.
  • Krögoor Entertainment is entitled to moderate, edit or delete messages.
  • Temporary or permanent write bans may be imposed for rule violations.

Registration/User Account

In some services, the user has the option of entering personal data such as name, place of residence or e-mail address. This data is used exclusively for the intended purposes.

For various skills, it is also possible to link one’s Amazon account to the skill by means of “account linking”. This optional account linking is needed to identify the player and, for example, to display further data on the website or to restore the game progress after deactivating the skill.

The user guarantees that he or she uses the user account solely for themselves. Passing on the user account, especially selling it, is not permitted.

User Inputs

In some services, it is possible for the user to choose a player name or nickname. The user guarantees that the nickname is not his or her real name. If the user uses their real name, they are responsible for any consequences. Krögoor Entertainment reserves the right to block users with offensive, defamatory or indecent player names.

In some services, it is possible to communicate with other users via voice input or text messages. Voice inputs may be transcribed as virtual “letters” or “chat messages” and read out to the addressee by a digital voice. The sender is responsible for the content and guarantees not to communicate any personal data or offensive messages. A copy is stored for monitoring purposes (see Privacy Policy). In case of reported content, Krögoor Entertainment reserves the right to manually review messages and, in the event of suspicion of a criminal offence, to make them available to the investigating authorities.

Abuse

Krögoor Entertainment reserves the right to temporarily or permanently exclude users who are suspected of misusing a service. Misuse includes in particular:

  • Attacks on the IT infrastructure
  • Manipulation of game data, scores or functions
  • Exploitation of bugs or security vulnerabilities (exploits)
  • Automated use (bots, scrapers) without express permission
  • Circumvention of bans or restrictions
  • Distribution of illegal content

Contents and Copyrights

The contents of the services have been created to the best of our knowledge and belief. Despite all due care, Krögoor Entertainment cannot guarantee that the content is correct, up-to-date and without any errors.

All contents are subject to copyright. Any reproduction or further use requires the express written consent of Krögoor Entertainment.

Warranty/Limitation of Liability

Claims for damages by the user are generally excluded. Krögoor Entertainment is liable for simple negligence — except in the case of injury to life, body or health — only if essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations) are violated.

Krögoor Entertainment’s liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract.

Applicable Law

The Terms of Use and the contractual relationship between the user and Krögoor Entertainment are subject to the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.

Changes to the Terms of Use

Krögoor Entertainment may update these Terms of Use at any time without prior notice. Continued use of the services after a change constitutes acceptance of the amended conditions.

Data Protection

Our Privacy Policy applies to the use of the services.

Severability Clause

Should individual provisions of this contract be invalid or unenforceable or become invalid or unenforceable after conclusion of the contract, the validity of the rest of the contract shall remain unaffected.
